Who we are

Perfectly Pitched, Inc is a corporation registered in the state of Delaware, with our primary office location in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We began our company as an LLC, focusing on branding & pitch deck design services primarily for start ups, social enterprises, and non-profits. We are owned & operated by Heather Lawver & occasionally work with our established & vetted network of independent partners.
As of 2023, we have temporarily paused our independent consulting work in order to focus on the development of a new automated SaaS marketing platform, known as Ceemo.

What Personal Data We Collect & Why We Collect It

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you submit a message to us via our Contact Form, you’re of course providing us with any of the information filled in on the form. The form includes fields for your name, your email address, your phone number, your company name, what types of service needs you’re interested in, what type of company you represent, and any message you input in the messages field. That information is emailed to our company representative, and a copy of that message is also stored on our server as a back up in case there’s any kind of error in sending your message via email. Your messages may be shared with our independent partners – e.g. illustrators, design partners, etc – so please be sure not to send us anything significantly proprietary about your company until we’ve established any relevant non-disclosure agreements. We respect your privacy and will always do our best to only retain information vital to performing services within our company.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We utilize a third-party WordPress plug-in to manage our site security. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you submit your contact information via our Contact Form, that data is sent via email to Heather@PerfectlyPitched.co and will be retained in that email inbox. A copy of all messages sent via our Contact Form are also retained on our server, as a back up in the event of any kind of email service interruption or malfunction. That data is retained indefinitely.

If you submit your contact information via a Comment on this website, that data is stored on our server and will be retained indefinitely.

Additional information

How we protect your data

Any data transmitted via our Contact Form is retained both on this server and in our email inboxes. That data is retained behind strong password-protected firewalls, with passwords changed at regular intervals. We also employ regular malware screenings, strong indepedent WordPress security services, as well as support from our hosting providers.
